Vintner's Wood is an up and coming neighborhood located on Barr Road in Lexington, SC.  This new neighborhood developed by Mungo is 21 minutes (15 miles) west of Columbia SC.  Mungo is a respected and established local builder here in Columbia SC. Right off EXIT 51 from Interstate 20.  Homes are priced from the low $200K to $300K. I personally like the new floor plans and elevations that Mungo has updated for this neighborhood.  It makes it an affordable Lexington neighborhood with great amenities such as side walks, good sized lots, lots of natural area, pool and cabana (to be built in Summer 2010).  The lot sizes range from 10,000 sq ft (1/4 of an acre) to 15,000 sq ft (1/3 of acre).  The terrain is varied to level and some inclined.  The builder is developing 2 more phases and should be ready with spec homes by 2014.
